Prompt: Week 1

For this Friday, January 15 at 5 pm, please answer the following:

What have your past writing classes been like? What experiences have you had which were positive? Which were negative? Provide a succinct summary of the instruction you have received in classes focussed on writing? In your experience then, what has proven beneficial? What have you struggled with? Thus far at college, what writing has been expected of you and how has it differed than your high school experience? Finally, evaluate the rhetorical efficacy of those writing courses and of your own work in those courses.

Please answer all of the above questions, though your answers do not have to appear in the order I have provided.

You must submit these 500 word posts on time, with a correct title, and labelled with your name. Give yourself plenty of time to do this -- you'll get used to this assignment as the semester continues, but you should give yourself plenty of time to write these posts initially.
